JJ
JJ has always had a passion for visual story telling and has worked in the film & television industry for over 15 years. The focus of his career has been on outdoor/survival documentaries for networks like National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. For a full list of his credits click here.
Frankie
Frankie is a boss bitch in every sense of the word. She has been a director of a mental health and addictions agency for the last 6 years so she understands the importance of your mental and emotional wellbeing. She understands that breaking away from the traditional wedding and planning an elopement can come with some stressors, and her passion is to make sure you feel supported, resourced, and excited!
Our story
Frankie and JJ live in Portland, Oregon with their two French bulldogs, Billie and Bobbi. When they aren’t working they love to spend their time cooking, hiking, camping, and watching baking competition shows.
Wild Heart Elopements was born out of an idea Frankie had when we were planning our own wedding back in 2022. After spending hours trying to plan a traditional wedding, Frankie recognized the pressure of deciding between what she really wanted and what was expected from family and society. She felt uncomfortable sacrificing her own ideas but didn’t want to disappoint her loved ones.
After countless conversations, we decided our wedding day would be a time to truly prioritize ourselves and embrace what mattered most to us. We chose an urban elopement in Portland, OR—the city where we met, fell in love, and created countless memories. It was the best decision we ever made! Our urban elopement was filled with our favorite meals, happy hours, rooftops, and matching tattoos. The day really embodied everything important to us and our relationship. Our only regret was not hiring a photographer to capture all these special moments.
After our experience, Frankie felt passionate about helping people make this challenging decision to elope but also wants to be your hype person to keep the day as stress free as possible by helping with planning and logistics. JJ steps in to put his extensive photography background to use in capturing your story so you can relive your special day forever.
